American Legion - California District 6

Special Events
  Wreaths Across America 2008
A "Wreaths Across America" ceremony was held at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery on December 13th, 2008. Thanks to the Daughters of the American Revolution for sponsoring this event. There were over a thousand attendees this year.

Members of the American Legion and others raised money so that wreaths could be laid on all the gravesites to honor veterans for their service to America. The Sacramento Valley National Cemetery was one of only three in the U.S., along with National Cemeteries in Maine and Arkansas, where there were wreaths for all veterans resting in the cemetery.
